Family Adventure Ideas from Adventure Santa
Ideas to help you get started to build out your holiday adventure season.
Turn off your lights, turn on the Christmas lights, and sing Christmas Carols.
Find an outdoor rink and go Ice Skating Or go on an adventure hike if you don't have snow or ice
Adopt-A-Family and Go Christmas shopping for presents for a family in need (or shop online together in 2020)
Have a winter picnic outside (dress warm!) or inside by the Christmas tree
Decorate Christmas cookies
Winter Scavenger or Treasure Hunt
Go for a drive and look at Christmas Lights
Chop Down a Christmas Tree
Go Skiing if you have snow – cross country or downhill. Local parks and ski hills will rent equipment & give lessons if you need it
Go camping – pitch a tent and camp by the Christmas tree
Make an inside obstacle course
Draw or make holiday cards and deliver to a Nursing home or send to soldiers overseas
Make paper snowflakes and hang them from the ceiling – in the living room, dining room or kid’s bedrooms
Volunteer together – check your area for local food shelves or other needs. Food banks or family homeless centers are often looking for families to volunteer together
Write a letter to Santa, but focus it on what the kids want to experience this holiday season instead of what presents they want:
